Sun-piercing breath. Right nostril only. Generates inner warmth and energy.

Important: Avoid in fever, hyperthyroidism, hot weather, or if you have anxiety.

How to practise

  1. Sit comfortably with spine tall.
  2. Rest LEFT hand on the belly.
  3. Right hand in nasagra mudra — block the LEFT nostril with the ring and little finger.
  4. Keep the LEFT nostril closed throughout.
  5. Inhale slowly through the RIGHT nostril.
  6. Exhale fully through the RIGHT nostril.

Progression — levels

When to practise: Best done on an empty stomach — at least 2 hours after a meal. Early morning is ideal.
